Martin Ogle is the founder of Geo sapiens and a lifelong advocate for environmental education and sustainability. Over the course of his career, he has served as Chief Naturalist for the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, Founder of Entrepreneurial Earth LLC, and Education Coordinator for Lafayette (CO) Open Space. He has also served on the boards of numerous environmental and community organizations, earning awards in sustainability and education.

Deeply influenced by formative years spent in Korea, Martin brings a global and culturally rich perspective to his work. He has delivered public talks in Korea exploring humanity’s shared story and has led creative programs such as Gaia in Mind, which blends poetry, music, and science to inspire deeper connections between people and the natural world. His educational programs serve audiences of all ages, with a particular focus on youth career readiness and the integration of environmental and energy literacy.

At the heart of Martin’s vision is the “big idea of Geo sapiens”: that by genuinely understanding humanity’s relationship to Earth—through science, culture, and emotion—we can take meaningful, positive action to meet the environmental and social challenges of our time. This belief continues to guide his work in fostering learning that is engaging, creative, and transformative.
